THE JOURNEY TO RELIABILITY BEGINS WITH THE RIGHT MAINTENANCE
There are five primary goals that most organizations are seeking from the Maintenance function. They are reliability, lower costs, safety, environmental integrity, and quality in the case of manufacturing organizations. What you may not realize is that upwards of 84% of the overall reliability is controlled by groups and practices outside of the maintenance function.
As we automate more and more, there are more physical assets that must be operated and maintained. Safety and environmental compliance becomes more and more dependent on the condition of your assets. Likewise, your ability to achieve and sustain product quality and customer service targets also becomes more and more dependent on the condition of your assets. So to minimize risk, you need to make sure that you only do the right maintenance at the right time in the right way.
Yet, we find that many organizations have poorly documented procedures and no real basis for the maintenance tasks they are performing. It’s not uncommon to find maintenance tasks on complex equipment consisting of one line such as “Check pump”. From reliability centered maintenance task analysis, we find that upwards of 40-60% of existing maintenance tasks add no value. We often find proactive tools such as laser alignment, ultrasound, and vibration units gathering dust on storeroom shelves or buried under someone’s desk. It’s also interesting to note that upwards of 70% of failures are self-induced. Improper lubrication or incorrect lubrication selection is a perfect example. Do these failures resonate with you? Are you suffering a similar fate?
Join industry recognized book author and speaker Jeff Shiver CMRP, CPMM, RCM2 / RCM3 Practitioner as he starts the day’s session off with the “big picture” from a reliability-centered maintenance perspective. Jeff’s goal is to share tools and concepts that you can immediately take back and apply in your organization. These include concepts such as RCM3, risk based strategies, planning and scheduling, proactive tasks, how equipment fails and defect elimination to name a few. The day will be one that you don’t want to miss.

FUTURE-READY PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE
Let’s have a conversation on how to move your business from reactive to predictive with Oracle Maintenance Cloud and IoT Asset Monitoring Cloud. Maintenance is challenged by the pressures to increase asset reliability and uptime while at the same time managing and reducing maintenance costs. If you could anticipate failures and prevent them – it would do both. Leveraging Maintenance Cloud asset data and maintenance history, IoT Asset Monitoring Cloud Service uses machine learning to predict the useful lifespan of parts, when assets will fail, and the optimal maintenance intervals for each asset and maintenance type. In this session we will provide more details on this ALTERNATIVE maintenance methodology!
Speakers: Margie Steele, Oracle

REPORTING AND ANALYTICS FOR MAINTENANCE IMPROVEMENT – CASE STUDY
You can imagine the challenges of having confidence and proving to management that you’re running toward a world-class maintenance organization if you don’t have the business intelligence and data to support you, or can’t gather it in a consistent, clearly understandable and timely manner. This was the challenge at IAMGold for the Maintenance Management team, lead by the Maintenance Project Manager Francois St Arnault.
Using Oracle BI and leveraging VIZIYA’s out-of-the-box Analytics solution, IAMGold was able to quickly and easily create a standardized system of reporting based on clear best practices and maintenance KPI’s across multiple sites, increasing visibility into operations, highlighting areas for improvement, and furthering their organizations’ efforts in the continuous improvement of maintenance.
In this case study, Francois will speak about their analytics journey, from selling the case to the management on the need and speed of a purpose-built Analytics tool, getting buy-in and adoption from the maintenance organization on KPIs, and the steps to best practice reporting and how they leverage this in their daily operations today.
Following this case study, Brittany McDonald, Product Manager for the WorkAlign Analytics, will lead a discussion on reporting best practices as well as detail the advancements in upcoming releases of Analytics to be prepared to take advantage of and leverage.

MASTER ASSET MANAGEMENT BY EASILY ADOPTING MASTER DATA BEST PRACTICES
As a scheduler, how many of your jobs get reworked because the asset in the field, the BOM, or the picked spare part is wrong? Do you reorder parts because the part number, location, or description is wrong? In this track, Logic Point discusses how good maintenance practices apply to your assets and your data, and what tools you can rely on to accelerate these practices. Dive into how a culture of quality data has reduced labor and maintenance costs long term for our clients.
Quality Data is the fundamental building block of efficient asset management. We talk about what good data looks like, how to tell if your data is reliable, and what tools you can use to help address data challenges today. Overcome the technical debt of continuing to rely on poor data quality – the consequences are drastic and too common but easily addressable. This session gives you the tools to find your spare parts easily, have the correct BOM to address the right asset AND can efficiently schedule your teams to execute.
